Return to the nature

It had been a long time since we had hiked through the trees. Our last time had been over a year ago, and I had suffered an accident during that hike. It was all due to my lack of physical preparation, which, contrary to what I had imagined, was not the same as it had been 10 years before.

But, a year of CrossFit, gym workouts, and weightlifting had transformed me into a new person! And we took advantage of the Easter holiday to return to nature.
It was amazing to take the camera out for a walk. Well, actually, the phone camera, since photographic film is too expensive. At least I can use my free time to learn how to simulate the use of film in my photos.

I still have a lot to improve, but it's a start.
But it was very important to be able to see all the details of the land calmly, and photograph every little piece of what I found interesting.

You know, I'm trying to focus on developing a style. I've always liked black and white photos, and I think the more dirt, the more imperfections, the more texture... The better to see the photo without any kind of color.
It was interesting to already be photographing, thinking about the editing I would do on the image. Positioning the camera, adjusting the exposure, imagining how I would use Affinity Photo to alter that image.

Having editing as part of the creative process is new to me. I'm an amateur photographer - and I don't intend to go beyond that. But I have the curiosity to improve myself, and this hike was not only an opportunity to return to nature but to take a new step in my journey as a photographer.
Please feel free to provide feedback (kindly, please), give tips, and assist me on this journey through the analysis of my photos.
